FEMA Funeral Assistance Helping to Ease the Burden of COVID-19

As of February 28, FEMA has approved over $1.9 billion in assistance to help people with COVID-19-related funeral expenses. While the assistance we provide can never replace the loss of a loved one, FEMA is working tirelessly with applicants to ease some of the burden of this devastating pandemic.

The positive impacts of COVID-19 Funeral Assistance are evident in the stories we hear from the people we serve. These are excerpts from just a few of the letters from individuals who applied for COVID-19 Funeral Assistance:

To apply, please contact the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Helpline at 844-684-6333, Monday to Friday, 9am-9pm EST. Individuals who use a relay service are encouraged to provide FEMA with the specific number assigned to them so FEMA representatives can contact them.

Produce boxes will be available on Saturday 3/19/2022.

Volunteers please check in at 10:30 AM. (300 Produce Boxes)

WE WILL ALSO NEED 2 INDIVIDUALS TO DRIVE BOXES TO OUT SICK AND SHUT-INS AS WELL AS THOSE WITHOUT TRANSPORATION TO RECEIVE THE PRODUCE BOXES!

 Christmas Food basket and Toys Giveaway took place on Saturday, December 18th. The food giveaway totals were Saturday- 78 baskets; 21 baskets given to Renaissance Center; 10 baskets on Monday 20th and 9 on Tuesday, December 21st. That’s 118 total Christmas Food Baskets.

 WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR THE CHRISTMAS FOOD GIVE-AWAY - The following are the needs:

Peace & Blessings

As of November 18th, St. John’s has given away 43 Thanksgiving turkeys and baskets for the holiday. This Saturday, November 20th, St. John’s will provide the remaining 59 turkeys and baskets to those families in need for the holiday. Produce boxes will also be available for pick-up. Volunteers are needed for disbursement of both. Volunteers please arrive by 9:00am.
